Meal of the Year supports the dreams and aspirations of COCC students
by raising funds for scholarships that open doors once closed and change students' lives forever.
 
For 45 years, we have gathered for one evening filled with good food, drink, merriment and friends
all in an effort to raise funds to support student success at COCC.


In 2023, this black-tie affair raised $390,000 for scholarships and helped hundreds of students realize their educational potential!


We are delighted to recognize the Miller family as the 2024 Meal of the Year honorees.
 
The Miller family was instrumental in the early success of COCC and the COCC Foundation. In June of 1955, William Miller became one of three signers of the original articles of incorporation for the Foundation and served on the inaugural Foundation Board and the College Board from 1962-1969. Concurrently, William’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Miller, kick started the Foundation’s scholarship program with a transformative $4,000 donation in honor of their son Charles E. Miller, who died in World War II. That tradition has lived on through family support of scholarships from all members of the Miller family and the Miller Lumber business up and to the present, and with Charley Miller (grandson of H.A) having served on the College Board from 2007-2015.
